1. Introduction of Phloroglucinol
Phloroglucinol (CAS NO.108-73-6) is a benzenetriol, found along with two isomers, hydroxyquinol (1,2,4-benzenetriol) and pyrogallol (1,2,3-benzenetriol). The Formula of phloroglucinol is C6H6O3. It is an organic compound. Phloroglucinol is generally found in the flavonoid ring A substitution pattern. 2. Phloroglucinol synthesis
Phloroglucinol synthesis can be synthesized via a number of processes, but representative is the following route from trinitrobenzene. 3. Biosynthesis of Phloroglucinol
Phloroglucinol can be used to form the activated 3,5-diketoheptanedioate. And in Pseudomonas fluorescens, phloroglucinol biosynthesis is performed with a type III polyketide synthase. This synthesis begins with the condensation of three malonyl-CoAs. Then decarboxylation followed by the cyclization of the activated 3,5-diketoheptanedioate product leads to the formation of phloroglucinol.
