Poison by ingestion, intravenous, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal routes. An antidepressant. Many dibenz-azepine compounds have central nervous system effects. When Dibenzepine hydrochloride (CAS NO.315-80-0) is heated to decomposition, it emits very toxic fumes of HCl and NOx. See also DIAZEPAM.
