Uses of Dimethylphenylsilane: It can react with vinylbenzene to produce (b-Phenyl-ethyl)-dimethylphenyl-silan. This reaction will need reagent B(C₆F₅)₃, and the menstruum CH₂Cl₂. The reaction temperature is 20°C, and the yield is about 96%.
