A human poison by ingestion. Moderately toxic by skin contact. Human systemic effects by ingestion: ciliary eye spasms, nausea or vomiting, respiratory depression, somnolence, sweating. A skin irritant. When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes. See also ALDEHYDES.
