Fosfomycin Uses

Phosphonomycin has good effects on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus mirabilis, E. coli, Serratia and Staphylococcus.It is aslo indicated in the treatment of urinary tract infections.

Moderately toxic by intraperitoneal route. Mutation data reported. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of POx.
