Methane sulfonyl fluoride Specification

Methane sulfonyl fluoride (CAS NO.558-25-8) is also called 4-04-00-00027 (Beilstein Handbook Reference) ; BRN 1740836 ; Fluoro methyl sulfone ; Fumette ; HSDB 6397 ; MSF ; Mesyl fluoride . Methane sulfonyl fluoride (CAS NO.558-25-8) is clear colorless to yellow liquid. On contact with moisture Methane sulfonyl fluoride produces highly corrosive and toxic fumes of hydrogen fluoride gas. Methane sulfonyl fluoride is corrosive, toxic liquid. Vigorous reaction with water, steam, alkali. A dangerous storage hazard. When heated to decomposition Methane sulfonyl fluoride emits toxic fumes of fluoride, and oxides of sulfur. May react vigorously or explosively if mixed with diisopropyl ether or other ethers in the presence of trace amounts of metal salts. It is highly toxic when inhaled. So the storage environment should be ventilate, low-temperature and dry. Keep Methane sulfonyl fluoride (CAS NO.558-25-8) separate from raw materials of food.
