SODIUM FORMALDEHYDE BISULFITE Uses

SODIUM FORMALDEHYDE BISULFITE (870-72-4) is used for the production of the medicine cancer enemy-M, neosalvarsan and methaniazide.

SODIUM FORMALDEHYDE BISULFITE Production

Put distilled water and formaldehyde solution into the reaction vessel and cool it to 15 ° C. After mixing, batch adding sodium bisulfite at the temperature 60-65 ° C and reacting for 20min. Control it approximately at pH 9 by using sodium hydroxide solution. Then adding HCl to make pH up to 3. Use active carbon in order to decolor, filtering and after cooling filtrate, add ethanol to separate out solid, then place it to the next day. Again filtering and washing by ethanol, after drying we can obtain SODIUM FORMALDEHYDE BISULFITE (870-72-4).
