Uses of Methanesulfonic acid,1,1,1-trifluoro-, triethylsilyl ester: It can react with 1-diazo-3,3-dimethyl-butan-2-one to produce 1-Diazo-3,3-dimethyl-1-(triethylsilyl)-2-butanone. This reaction will need reagent ethyldiisopropylamine, and the solvent diethyl ether. The reaction time is 4 hours with ambient temperature, and the yield is about 87%.
