Product Description

Flibanserin, a drug used to increase female libido, reduces serotonin, which inhibits libido, to increase dopamine levels that stimulate libido. The study lasted for half a year and was funded by the German pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim and was jointly attended by the University of North Carolina, the University of Virginia, the Ottawa Hospital Women's Health Center, and the University of Pavia, Italy. Germany's Boehringer Ingelheim announced the results of a phase III clinical trial of flibaneserin at the European Society meeting on November 16, 2009, saying it has good efficacy and tolerability for HSDD.
