Neodymium(III) nitrate (1:3) Specification

Neodymium(III) nitrate (1:3) , its cas register number is 10045-95-1. It also can be called EINECS 233-153-9 ; NSC 132047 ; NSC 174324 ; Neodymium (III) nitrate ; Neodymium nitrate ; Neodymium nitrate (Nd(NO3)3) ; Neodymium trinitrate ; Neodymium(3+) nitrate ; Nitric acid neodymium(3+) salt ; Nitric acid, neodymium salt .
As we know, Neodymium is a rare earth metal, was present in classical mischmetal to the extent of about 18%. The metal has a bright, silvery metallic luster; however, as one of the more reactive rare earth (lanthanide) metals, it quickly oxidizes in air. Neodymium metal tarnishes slowly in air and burns readily at 150 °C to form neodymium(III) oxide and it is is quite electropositive and reacts slowly with cold water and quite quickly with hot water to form neodymium hydroxide. It also  reacts with all the halogens and dissolves readily in dilute sulfuric acid to form solutions containing the lilac Nd(III) ions, which exist as a [Nd(OH2)9]3+ complexes
