The IUPAC name of Copper(II) carbonate basic is dicopper carbonate dihydroxide. With the CAS registry number 12069-69-1, it is also named as (Carbonato(2-))dihydroxydicopper. The classification codes are Agricultural Chemical; Fungicide, bactericide, wood preservative; Molluscicide. It is fine green powder which is insoluble in cold water and alcohol, soluble in acid forming the corresponding copper, soluble in cyanide, ammonia, ammonium salt and alkali metal carbonate solution.
